World Food Day 2022

In my class, I learned about World Food Day.

Do you know what World Food Day is? World Food Day is observed annually on 16 October to highlight the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food. The theme for 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind. 

Each student in my class researched different countries. My country was North America.

In collaboration with LG Electronics, to commemorate and spread awareness on the World Food Day Campaign, the iconic Times Square of New York aired the WFD promo video from 14 to 16 October. LG Electronics has been supporting the World Food Day campaign since 2019, helping spread our messages to thousands of people. 

Another one is a program was held in Texas. It was both in-person and online and was on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 from 10:15 am to 12:00 pm (CT). The audience was mostly the faculty, staff and students at The College of Agriculture and Human Sciences (CAHS) at Prairie View A&M University. They will have presenters from USDA and Texas A&M University.
